The 1:12 Project: Serving Communities in Bánica, Dominican Republic
For the third consecutive year, NOVUS traveled to the remote town of Bánica in the Dominican Republic as part of the 1:12 Project in partnership with Encounter Travel. The mission trip brought together a team of 24 participants — including a chaplain, collegiate athletes, and young professionals — united through faith, service, and sport.
During the trip, the team hosted baseball and volleyball camps for local athletes, creating opportunities for mentorship, connection, and shared experiences. The 1:12 Project continues to be a meaningful expression of the NOVUS mission, using sport as a vehicle for impact and relationship building.
On the Road: SEEK 2026, Varsity Catholic & the Legatus Summit
NOVUS began the year attending SEEK 2026 in Columbus, Ohio, connecting with thousands of college students, athletes, and young leaders. The event provided an opportunity to share the NOVUS story and highlight the 1:12 Collection, rooted in the message of perseverance and purpose.
NOVUS co-founder and CEO Garrett Bernardo participated in a business panel attended by nearly 600 people, and NOVUS sponsored a talk organized by Varsity Catholic featuring professional baseball player Trevor Williams for more than 200 collegiate athletes.
For the second year in a row, NOVUS also sponsored the Ambassadors Cup at the Legatus Summit in Santa Barbara, where owners Nick and Garrett spoke with business leaders while outfitting attendees in custom corporate apparel.
Industry Presence: American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Convention
NOVUS returned to the American Baseball Coaches Association Convention — the largest gathering of baseball coaches in the world — to connect with programs, share insights, and showcase our custom team apparel capabilities.
Over four days, the team engaged with coaches from across the country, reinforcing NOVUS as a trusted partner for programs seeking premium gear, thoughtful design, and reliable service.
Campus Partnerships: Siena Basketball
With the spring semester underway and winter sports in peak season, NOVUS partnered with Siena University Men’s Basketball for a photoshoot highlighting off-court apparel designed for travel, preparation, and everyday wear.
Athletes on the Rise: University of Maine Hockey Forward Raegan Wurm
University of Maine Women’s Ice Hockey forward Raegan Wurm continues to demonstrate leadership and resilience throughout the season. During a recent photoshoot at Alfond Arena, Raegan shared her perspective on striving to be the best version of herself and the importance of showing up consistently for teammates and community.
