From the moment Gavin Doty arrived at Siena, the standard shifted. Not because of the points, though those came. MAAC Rookie of the Year. MAAC Tournament MVP. First Team All MAAC. NCAA Tournament.
It was the way he competed every single day that transformed what was possible around him.
Over the past two years, we have had the opportunity to build a genuine relationship with Gavin and witness firsthand how his energy, toughness, and leadership impacted the culture inside the program. He became the kind of player teammates believed in and coaches could build around, not just because of talent, but because of the consistency and mentality he brought every single day.
His presence raised expectations. The way he worked challenged the people around him to elevate their own standard.
The Mentality
Gavin’s game is built on what most people never see.
